Indian Assistant Defence Adviser Meets COS of the Sri Lanka Army

Lieutenant Colonel Mandeep Singh Negi SM, the Assistant Defence Adviser at the High Commission of India in Colombo, paid a courtesy call on the Chief of Staff (COS), Major General W.H.K.S Peiris RWP RSP VSV USP ndu on 09 February 2024.

During the meeting, COS shared his perspectives with the Assistant Defence Adviser. Both dignitaries acknowledged the strong bonds of goodwill, cooperation and understanding between the armed forces of both countries.

They also discussed the opportunities to further enhance training programs for Sri Lankan Army personnel, joint military exercises, instructor exchanges and other matters of mutual interest.

At the conclusion of the cordial meeting, COS presented a special memento to the Assistant Defence Adviser as a token of goodwill from the Sri Lanka Army. The gesture was reciprocated.
