Indian Army's MIR Delegation Meets Their Counterparts in Sri Lanka

A delegation of the Indian Army Mechanized Infantry Regimental Centre visited their Sri Lankan counterpart, Mechanized Infantry Regiment HQ at Dambulu Halmillawewa and the Mechanized Infantry Training Centre (MITC) during 16-20 December.

The visiting delegation was comprised of Colonel Rohit Gupta, Major Sonam Juneja and Major Om Chetan Puri. The visit was organized as follow-up action of the Army to Army Staff Talk between the Sri Lanka Army and Indian Army.

The Centre Commandant, Brigadier S.J Priyadarshana with Staff Officers of the Regimental Centre warmly welcomed the visiting delegation.

They visited the Mechanized Infantry Training Centre (MITC) at Manik Farm and the delegation was warmly welcomed by the Commandant, MITC, Colonel B.P.G.K Balasooriya who had formal discussions at his office.

A separate briefing on Mechanized Infantry Training Centre and its functions was conducted by the Commandant, MITC and they discussed possibilities of further enhancement of military training co-operation between both organizations. A model attack against an enemy hideout, presented by a Mechanized Infantry Platoon and a Riot control display entertained the visiting delegation.

The delegation also visited interesting places around Mannar, Dambulla, Trincomalee and Kandy areas. Concluding the visit, the delegation was hosted to dinner at the MIR HQ where mementos were exchanged.Authentic Sneakers | Nike Shoes
