IMSSU Tournament of NRA, Now Underway

The International Metallic Silhouette Shooting Union (IMSSU) National Shooting Tournament, now being spearheaded by the National Rifle Association (NRA), chaired by Major General Champaka Ranasinghe, Commander Security Forces - Wanni began its IMSSU tournament on Monday (7) at Panaluwa Field Firing Range.

The IMSSU tournament with the participation of tri-service teams, Police and civil sector teams will continue till Saturday (12) while the IPSC Pistol Shooting (open) tournament continues till Sunday (March 20) after its start on Thursday (17).

Major General Champaka Ranasinghe took over the Chairmanship of the National Rifle Association (NRA) of Sri Lanka in May 2021 for a period of two years from the Sri Lanka Air Force. The NRA has 15 Rifle teams representing Army, Navy, Air Force, Police, STF and civil sector clubs.

Awarding ceremonies of IMSSU and IPSC tournaments will take place respectively on Saturday (12) and on Sunday (20).
