The importance of receiving a vocational training, prior to retirement was highlighted during a special awareness programme, organized by the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) on Tuesday (4) before a gathering of more than 400 Army personnel.
The arrangement, organized on the directions of Major General Ajith Kariyakarawana, Commander, Security Forces - Kilinochchi, educated the gathering on the importance of getting knowledge on any favourite vocational sphere before their retirement since the demand for vocations is fast on the rise.
Lieutenant Colonel B.D Sashika Perera, Commanding Officer, Army Vocational Training School at Saliyawewa - Kalaoya and Mr. Chaminda Wijedasa, Training Officer, Anuradhapura Vocational Training Centre, delivered those awareness lectures and stimulated the gathering for receipt of such training during the arrangement at the SFHQ-KLN auditorium.
