A one-day workshop, themed on “Revising the scope of teaching materials of International Humanitarian Law” organized by the Directorate of Human Rights & International Humanitarian Law (HR & IHL) on the directions of the Adjutant General, Major General Chandana Wickramasinghe got underway at the Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regimental Headquarters at Panagoda on Thursday (08).
The valuable sessions were conducted by Mr Channa Jayawardene, Regional Armed and Security Forces Programme Adviser and Major Albert Schoneveld (Retd), Armed Forces Delegate for ICRC, two experts in the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
The Adjutant General graced the inauguration of the workshop as the Chief Guest. 70 Officers who serve as qualified instructors on IHL were present during the sessions.
