Two donors, Mr Prajanitha Pushpakumara and Mr Jayanath de Silva voluntarily gifted three new wheelchairs to the Gemunu Watch Seva Vanitha Branch (GW-SVB) for distribution among disabled soldiers in the Gemunu Watch (GW) on 17 June after visiting the GW Regimental HQ, Kuruwita, Ratnapura.
The coordination of Mrs Shalika Edirisinghe, Chairperson of GW-SVB and Mrs Priyanka Galappaththi enabled the receipt of those wheelchairs for distribution among deserving Army and civil members working in GW units.
Major General S.W.B Welagedara RSP VSV USP ndc, Colonel of the Regiment, Gemunu Watch, Senior Officers, Officers, Senior Members and Other Ranks were there to receive those accessories.
