GR Squash Players Champion in Army Inter Regiment Squash Championship

The Army Inter Regiment Squash Championship concluded on Wednesday (09) at the Home of Sappers, Mattegoda Squash Court. During the course of ten intense days, players from 13 different regiments showcased their unparalleled skills and determination while vying for supremacy in 11 competitive events.

The Championship's final day witnessed a vibrant display of athletic spirits and comaraderie. With an enthusiastic crowd of spectators filling the stands, the players demonstrated a remarkable show of sportsmanship and athletic prowess.

Major General A.H.L.G Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, Chief Field Engineer of the Sri Lanka Army and Chairman of the Sri Lanka Army Squash Committee as the chief guest witnessed the finals and joined the awarding ceremony.

After a series of closely-contested encounters, the Gajaba Regiment emerged Champions in the Men's open team championship pushing the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers for the runners-up trophy. Sri Lanka Engineers secured the third place.
