The General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 61 Infantry Division, Major General R.A.J.N Ranasinghe RSP USP ndc, visited the Headquarters, 20 Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) on 07 April 2024.
The visiting GOC was warmly welcomed by the Commanding Officer and was accorded a Guard Turnout upon his arrival at the unit premises. Afterwards, the Commanding Officer delivered a comprehensive briefing on the functions of the 20 SLLI.
Adding memories to the day, the GOC was invited to pose for a few group photographs with the Unit staff and also invited to plant a sapling in the compound. Following this, the Senior Officer addressed the troops, followed by an All-Ranks tea session.
Afterwards, an exchange of mementos was took place marking the visit. Towards the end, the GOC penned down some complimentary remarks in the visitors’ book.
The visit concluded with an inspection of the camp premises. Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the event.
