The new General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 56 Division, Major General A. N Amarasekara made his formal first visits to the 561, 562, 563 Brigades and their under command battalions on 01,02 and 04 June.
Brigade Commanders and Commanding Officers in respective camps received the visiting General Officer Commanding (GOC) after he was saluted in Guards Turnout on arrival in keeping with military traditions.
To make his first visits to Brigades and Battalions memorable, the GOC planted saplings inside camp compounds and received comprehensive briefings, presented by Brigade Commanders and Commanding Officers on their operational and administrative matters.
