General Officer Commanding Visits Re-located 17 SLLI

Major General H.G.P.M Kariyawasam RSP ndc psc IG,General Officer Commanding, 56 Infantry Division visited the 17 Sri Lanka Light Infantry (17 SLLI) camp on Wednesday (12 July) after it was relocated as the 17 SLLI under the 56 Infantry Division area in Pampemadu.

17 SLLI was earlier serving the 65 Infantry Division area at Mallavi.

To mark his visit to the battalion, General Officer Commanding planted a sapling at the battalion premises followed by an all rank tea and a troops address.

Brigadier J.M.A Jayasekara RSP USP, Brigade Commander, 562 Infantry Brigade, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in this event.
