General Officer Commanding of Engineer Division Visits the Field Engineer Brigade

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Sri Lanka Army Engineer Division, Major General D.K.S.K. Dolage USP psc, visited the Field Engineer Brigade and the 8 Field Engineer Regiment located at Boo Oya, Vavuniya on 14 March 2024.

Colonel F. Joseph USP, the Commander of the Field Engineer Brigade, warmly welcomed the arriving GOC. The Commander of Engineer Brigade and Staff Officers then presented a comprehensive briefing covering the organizational structure, strength, field and plant engineer tasks, demining progress, and logistic matters of the Brigade.

The visit was symbolized by planting a mango sapling. Afterwards, the GOC addressed the troops, emphasizing their responsibilities when performing their role and tasks. The program culminated with an inspection of the 164 workshop yard, plant machine yard, and K9 wing.
