Foundation Laid For One More New House to a Deserving Family in Mullaittivu

The sponsorship, extended by Ven. Dr. Bodagama Chandima Thera, Director of Cultural Committee, World Buddhist Sangha Council. Taiwan United Samādhi Buddhist Foundation, Founder and Director of Sri Lanka Dharma Chakra Children's Foundation, Presidential Adviser on International Religious and Cultural Affairs, would enable 24 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment troops of the 591 Brigade to construct a new home for a needy family in Sila Watta GS Division in Mullaittivu. The cornerstone for its construction was laid by the sponsor and a few senior officers on Saturday (7).

The Commanding officer, 24 SLSR Lieutenant Colonel W.R. Rodrigo under the 591 Brigade, continuing Sri Lanka Army’s house construction projects for needy families island-wide, joined the inauguration as one more community project of the Brigade.

The cornerstones for erection of a fitness center, children's park and a community hall for the best interests of the public in Sila Watta GS Division in Mullaitivu were also laid on the same day.

The project will be carried out on the instructions of the 59 Division and Commander 591 Brigade. It is to be supervised closely by the Commanding Officer of the 24 SLSR Lieutenant Colonel W R Rodrigo.
