FMA-East New Commander Takes Office

Brigadier Sugath Rathnayake recently assumed duties as the 27th Commander of the Forward Maintenance Area-East (FMA-E) HQ under the Security Force Headquarters - East on Friday (29).

The newly-appointed Senior Officer on arrival at the HQ was honoured in a Guard Turnout at the entrance before he was saluted in a parade. He was also invited to plant a sapling in the premises as a symbol of memory.

Amid religious observances and ‘Pirith’ chanting, Brigadier Sugath Rathnayake placed his signature in an official document to signify the acceptance of the new office.

All Staff Officers, Commanding Officers, Officers and Other Ranks were present during the occasion.
