FMA-East Marks Its 28th Anniversary

The 28th anniversary of the Forward Maintenance Area-East (FMA-E) at Minneriya was marked with several commemorative programmes under the guidelines given by the Commander, FMA-E Major General Chanaka Meththananda on Wednesday (14).

Flags of the FMA-E and its under command formations were blessed at Somawathiya Raja Maha Vihara after offering Gilanpasa Pooja to the Buddha. On the same day, a special Pooja was made to the deities at Minneriya Devalaya on account of the anniversary.

Similarly, FMA-E troops carried out a cleaning project along the Minneriya tank bund and collected garbage and pollutants left behind by visitors to the area.
