The Engineer Services Trade School (ESTS) in Galayaya in order to support the green concept, 'Thuru Mithuru Nawa Ratak' of the Commander of the Army on Tuesday (30) planted 250 saplings of Kumbuk, Mee, and Coconuts inside ESTS compound in collaboration with the Coconut Cultivation Board and the Mahaweli Authority.
The project, launched on the guidelines given by the ESTS Commandant, Colonel Milroy Perera was joined by troops under training in the ESTS, together with their instructors.
On the same occasion, the ESTS with a view to giving its full support to the ongoing organic fertilizer production inaugurated its production of some 2000 kg of organic manure and liquid fertilizer in order to help the national drive.
