An initiative, launched by the 533 Infantry Brigade of the 53 Infantry Division under the 1 Corps offered a large stock of library books for the use of students at Anuradhapura Gantiringama Mahinda Maha Vidyalaya on Friday (15 September) during brief arrangements at Mahinda Maha Vidyalaya.
The sponsorship was provided by representatives of the Sri Lankan Community of Australia, Sydney Central Coast, Mr and Mrs Palitha Adikaram and a few other donors at the request of the General Officer Commanding, 53 Infantry Division, Major General P.G.P.S Rathnayake RWP RSP ndc and the Commander, 533 Infantry Brigade, Colonel A.M.S.D.B Adikari RSP.
The General Officer Commanding, 53 Infantry Division graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Colonel A.M.S.D.B Adikari RSP, Commander, 533 Infantry Brigade along with Commanding Officers, Senior Officers, Officers, and representatives from the Sri Lanka Community of Australia Sydney Central Coast, authorities at Gantiriyagama Mahinda Maha Vidyalaya and Mr. and Mrs Palitha Adikaram participated in the event.
