East troops with Sponsor’s Support Give Away Ration Packs & Dictionaries to 100 Deserving Families

100 deserving families residing in Dehiaththapitiya Yaya, Jayamuthugama and Yaya 03 at the Aralaganwila area in Polonnaruwa district and 100 school students of their families were gifted dry ration packs and English - Sinhala dictionaries respectively at the Mahaweli Cultural Hall, Aralaganwila on Saturday (27) with sponsorship, provided by Mr. Prasad Lokubalasooriya who lives in Gampaha.

The donation programme was coordinated through the Commander, Security Forces - East, Major General Priyantha Jayawardena. The beneficiaries received 100 dry ration packs, each worth Rs. 5000.00 and their children received 100 English - Sinhala Dictionaries each worth, Rs. 2500.00, on the same occasion as incentives for their studies.

The Commander, Security Forces (East), together with the General Officer Commanding, 23 Division, Major General Shewanth Kulatunge, Brigadier General Staff of the Security Force Headquarters - East, Brigadier M.K.S.S.P Jayasinghe, Chief Coordinator Civil Affairs and Civil Affairs Officer of the SFHQ - E, Officers and Other Ranks attended the distribution programme.
