On intelligence received, troops of the 3 (Volunteer) Military Intelligence Corps of the 231 Brigade of the 23 Division under the Security Force HQ -East, together with Policemen at Kalkudah Police Station arrested three suspects with 21g of 'Methamphetamine' drug (Ice), valued at Rs 340,000/= in their possession.
In addition, a sum of Rs 16,500/= in cash, four mobile phones and a motor car were in their possession when they were arrested in Kalkuda area on Thursday (17). The suspects with drugs, cash and accessories were handed over to the Kalkudah Police station for further investigations.
The Commander, Security Forces -East, together with the General Officer Commanding, 23 Infantry Division and the Brigade Commander, 231 Infantry Brigade closely monitored the raid and instructed accordingly.
