Major General U.D Wijesekera RWP RSP USP rcds psc, Commander, Security Forces- East visited the sacred Somawathiya temple on 22 June and paid his obeisance to the sacred place.
During his visit, he met the chief incumbent at Somawathiya temple where he had a cordial interaction with the monk before the Commander, Security Forces-East attended religious observances with several accompanying Officers.
The Brigade Commander of the 233 Infantry Brigade, and Commanding Officer of 9 Sri Lanka Artillery were also associated with the visit.
