East Commander Calls at 24 Infantry Division & Its under command Divisions and Brigades

The Commander, Security Forces-East (SFHQ - E), Major General Sujeewa Hettiarachchi during 19-20 March 2023, paid his formal field visits to the 24 Infantry Division and its under command Infantry Brigades and Battalions.

Major General Sujeewa Hettiarachchi at first visited 241 and 242 Infantry Brigades,18 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment,8 Sri Lanka National Guard, 11 Battalion Sri Lanka National Guard and 16 Battalion Sri Lanka National Guard before he made a trip to the Muhudumaha Viharaya and Deegawaapi Temple in order to observe the ongoing Stupa construction project.

During the formal visits, each and every Brigade and Battalion warmly welcomed the Commander SF-East and presented briefs on their role and task in respective areas of responsibility. He interacted with respective Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers and the troops during those visits. Further, he symbolized his visit planting saplings and leaving complimentary notes and good wishes in respective Visitors' Books at each formation.

Major General Wipula Chandrasiri, General Officer Commanding of the 24 Infantry Division, Brigade Commanders and Senior Officers were also associated with his itinerary.
