A donation of school accessories and dry ration items took place among 44 children and their families in the 52 Division area on 08 April 2022 at the Puttur Madihe Pannasiha Vidyalaya in Puttur under the patronage of the General Officer Commanding - 52 Division, Brigadier Udaya Hearth.
The project was jointly sponsored by Mr D.D Wijesinghe, Mrs Lakshmi Dissnayake and their daughter, Miss Kaveesha Jayani and Mr Janaka Gunathilake of "Jathika Urumayan Surakeeme Maha Sammelanaya" along with the coordination of Lieutenant Colonel B.D.T.D Jayarathna, Deputy Commandant of the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment Centre.
Further, a bicycle was donated to the student, who had scored 158 marks in the Grade Five Scholarship Examination by Venerable Chandrakeerthi Thero of Sri Naradha International Buddhist Centre, Colombo 7.
Brigadier Ruwan Munipura, Commander 522 Brigade, Senior Officers of the 52 Division, Commanding Officer 15(V) GR and troops of the 15(V) GR were present on the occasion.
