Drug Prevention Programs Conducted by 10 SLLI and 16 SLSR

In collaboration with the National Drug Prevention Unit, Vishwamadu, Drug Prevention Programs were conducted at Palinagar Maha Vidyalaya and Kanagarayankulam school on 4 and 5 April 2024, by 10 Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) and 16 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) under the guidance of Colonel M.G.A Malandeniya RSP, the Commander of 561 Infantry Brigade.

The informative lecture was delivered by Mrs. A. Wimala, an Instructor of the National Dangerous Drugs Control Board, focusing on adverse effects, varieties of dangerous drugs, factors contributing to drug addiction among school children, illicit substances, and their impacts and repercussions.

Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of 10 SLLI and 16 SLSR, over 950 students and teachers participated in the event.
