Desperate Woman Goes into Army-built New Home

A humanitarian initiative, taken by troops of the 652 Brigade on the directions of Brigadier Wanditha Mahinkanda, Brigade Commander, 652 Brigade of the 65 Division under the Security Force Headquarters-Kilinochchi, resulted in the construction of a new home plus a washroom for a destitute woman at Anavilandankulam.

Troops considering the helpless situation of Mrs Muttusami Theiwane, said to be a widow who has been abandoned and her deteriorating health concerns, volunteered to build this home and the new washroom for her.

At the invitation of the 652 Brigade Headquarters, Brigadier W. A. K Kumarapperuma, General Officer Commanding (GOC) 65 Division attending the location, handed over the newly-constructed house to the beneficiary on Saturday (18) bridgemedia | adidas NMD Human Race
