Deputy Commandant of SLAVF Visits His Mother Unit Before Retirement

Major General M.T.K.R Silva KSP, the Deputy Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) paid a courtesy visit to 5 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) on 20 April 2024 before his retirement.

The Commanding Officer of 5 (V) SLLI warmly welcomed the arriving Senior Officer after he was greeted in a Guard Turnout at the entrance. Subsequently, he paid tribute to the memory of fallen War Heroes by placing floral wreaths at the monument situated in the camp premises.

On the invitation of the Commanding Officer, he inaugurated the newly constructed main entrance and he addressed the troops in the premises. Prior to his departure, he penned down some complimentary remarks in the visitors' book.

Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks also took part in the visit.
