Deputy Commandant of SLAVF Visits the 1st Battalion of Army Pioneer Corps

Major General M. T. K. R. Silva KSP, the Deputy Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) made an official visit to the 1st Battalion of Sri Lanka Army Pioneer Corps (SLAPC) on 21 March 2024.

Commanding Officers of 1 & 2 of SLAPC together with troops warmly welcomed the visiting Deputy Commandant of the SLAVF to the SLAPC premises greeted him in a Guard Turnout at the entrance.

Afterwards, the Deputy Commandant of the SLAVF addressed the troops of both 1 SLAPC and 2 SLAPC at the conference hall and expressed the development measures that had taken to develop the battalions. Further, the Deputy Commandant of the SLAVF highlighted the importance working as a collective team towards the progress of the units while appreciating the successful amalgamations of duties and responsibilities of troops. The Deputy Commandant, SLAVF also thanked to all troops for their commitment and loyalty in placing the Battalions in higher standards.

Before the culmination of the official visit, the Deputy Commandant of SLAVF planted a sapling in the camp premises and placed a complimentary note of appreciation in the Visitors Book.

The Commanding Officer 1st Battalion SLAPC, the Commanding Officer 2nd Battalion SLAPC, Coordinating Officer of SLAPC and Sri Lanka Rifle Corps (SLRC) and the Colonel Coordinating Officer of 61 Infantry Division and Other Ranks associated the visit.
