Orphaned deaf and blind children at Wallipunam Puthukkudiyiruppu orphanage through the 68 Infantry Division coordination and support enjoyed the International Children’s Day during several features organized in the compound on 01 October 2023.
During the event, the children were entertained to music, fun-making features, games and different assignments. A musical programme followed afterwards.
This special event was provided with snacks, and a delicious lunch and each of them a gift parcel towards the end of the celebration. Before providing the refreshments to the Children, the Army troops engaged in a Shramadana Campaign to clean the premises.
The event was arranged on a suggestion made by Major General S Kasthurimudali RSP ndc psc, General Officer Commanding, 68 Infantry Division and Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks and the Civil Staff participated for this community-oriented gesture.
