DCOS Inspects Officers’ Holiday Bungalow Construction

Major General S.P.A.I.M.B. Samarakoon Hdmc Lsc, the Deputy Chief of Staff (DCOS) of the Sri Lanka Army, conducted an inspection of the ongoing construction of the proposed Officers’ Holiday Bungalow at Hawa Eliya on 30 March 2024. The purpose of his visit was to assess the progress of the construction, which is being carried out by the 17 Engineer Service Regiment (ESR) under the supervision of the Directorate of Real Estate and Quartering.

During his visit, Major General Samarakoon engaged with the troops directly involved in the construction, providing them with guidance and motivation to ensure the successful development of the project. Lieutenant Colonel E.AD.P. Edirisinghe Lsc, the Commanding Officer of the 17 ESR and Second in Command of the 6 Field Engineer Regiment, delivered a comprehensive briefing on the current status of the construction process, highlighting key milestones and challenges faced by the team.

Senior Officers and Officers were also present during the visit.
