Curtains Come Down on US Pacific Command’s MCIP Workshop

The Planning Staff Workshop - 3 (PSW - 3) of the United States Pacific Command (USPACOM) on ‘Multinational Communication Interoperability Programme’ (MCIP), organized jointly by the Ministry of Defence, Sri Lanka Army and the USPACOM drew to a close this evening (2) at Hotel Hilton, Colombo.

The sessions, well-planned with the blessings of the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Crisanthe De Silva, began on 29 May and ended during a closing ceremony, graced by Major General Mahesh Senanayake, Chief of Staff of the Army as the Chief Guest. 50 delegates, including 39 foreign military officers representing 17 countries participated in the 5-day long workshop.

At the invitation of Major General B.H.M.A Wijesinghe, Colonel Commandant, Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SLSC) and Chief Signal Officer of the Sri Lanka Army, the sessions were launched in close cooperation with the USPACOM.
