The newly-appointed Commandant, Combat Training School (CTS) at Ampara, Brigadier R.P Ruwan Munipura assumed duties as 44th Commandant on Monday (22) at the Combat Training School in Ampara.
On arrival, he was honoured in a Guard Turnout. Afterwards, amid religious blessings, he left his signature for an official document and symbolized the acceptance of his new office.
Later, he planted a sandalwood sapling in the compound as a symbol of memory. Colonel A.K.C.S De Silva, Commanding Officer - CTS, Officers and Other Ranks at the Combat Training School Ampara were associated with the occasion.
