Troops at the Combat Training School (CTS) in Ampara, together with the officials at the Medical Officer of Health Office, Ampara arranged an Oral Cancer Dental Clinic on Wednesday (09 Aug) at the CTS premises under the guidance of Brigadier D.R.N Hettiarachchi RWP RSP USP, Commandant, CTS.
The programme, meant to examine oral hygenic standards of Officers and Other Ranks serving in the area examined dental cavities, decays and oral health of more than 300 Army personnel, based in Ampara and adjacent areas.
Dental Surgeon P.D.C Fernando, Dentist, A Thamish Selvi, Dentist, M.H.S.M Fernando and Dentist, M.A.T Lakmal examined the troops representing 24 Infantry Division, 241 Infantry Brigade, 242 Infantry Brigade, 14 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, 5 Gemunu Watch, 8 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG), 11 SLNG, 16 SLNG, troops at Deegawapi Pagoda construction project and Officers and Other Ranks of the CTS during the clinic.
