Major General K.A.W.S Ratnayake ndu, Chief Signal Officer (CSO) of the Army & Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps made his maiden official visit to the 1st Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps on 15 July 2023.
Major G.T.K de Silva RSP USP Lsc, the Commanding Officer of the 1 Sri Lanka Signal Corps Regiment warmly welcomed the Colonel Commandant on arrival and a subsequent ceremonial Guard Turnout was awarded at the entrance to the visiting CSO in accordance with military formalities.
Subsequently, a 'Sandun' sapling was planted by him to mark his maiden official visit to the 1st Regiment of Sri Lanka Signal Corps. Later, Major General K.A.W.S Ratnayake ndu addressed the troops, persuading everyone to exercise professionalism throughout their careers and adapting themselves to the nation’s present situation. After refreshments, he visited the camp premises, too.
The Commanding Officer also presented a comprehensive briefing on the state of communication, general, administration and logistic matters.
Before his departure, Major General K.A.W.S Ratnayake ndu shared his views with the Officers at the Officers' Mess and also left compliments in the Visitors' Book.
