Course Attendees in Basic Certificate in Information and Communication Technology Pass out

Course attendees in the Basic Certificate in Information and Communication Technology Course - No 130 of the Sri Lanka Signals Corps (SLSC) received their insignia on Monday (17) at the School of Signals in Buwelikada during a formal ceremony.

The Chief Signal Officer of the Army and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signals Corps Major General K.A.W.S Ratnayake ndu graced the passing out parade as the Chief Guest, and was welcomed in a Guard Turnout. The Commandant at School of Signals, Colonel M.A.K Jayawardena psc afterwards welcomed the day's Chief Guest.

50 Signalmen and 03 Signalwomen from different Regiments of the SLSC were awarded insignia during the ceremony. The Best All Round student prize was awarded to the Signalman P.W.G.M Nawarathna of 11 Sri Lanka Signal Corps.

The Chief Guest congratulated the new signallers whilst adding his invaluable pieces of advice to them for the betterment of their future professional endeavours. A formal presentation of various Information and Communication Technology aspects, presented by senior attendees also got underway before the chief guest.

The Basic Certificate in Information and Communication Technology Course was conducted during fifty-eight working days and it encompassed theoretical and practical knowledge in all basic aspects of Information and Communication Technology. The course enables to perform their duties as qualified cadres in providing Information and Communication Technology required for command, control and administration of the Army.
