The recently-appointed Chief of Staff of the Army and the former Chairman, Rana Viru Apparel Ltd (RVAPL) Board of Management, Major General Jagath Kodithuwakku made a formal visit to the Ranaviru Apparel Factory at Yakkala on Thursday (16) .
The visiting Chief of Staff of Army was warmly welcomed by Brigadier Azad Izadeen, Commandant – RVAPL, together with Brigadier Amila Wasage, Deputy Commandant. A drive-past Guard Turnout saluted him in accordance with military formalities.
The Chief of Staff afterwards addressed all ranks at the RVAPL and extended his sincere gratitude to the Commandant and All Ranks, including differently able War Heroes for paving way for the success of the RVAPL.
Towards the end of the day’s proceedings, the Chief of Staff placed his signature in the Visitors’ book as a memory of his visit to the RVAPL. Officers and Other Ranks were associated with the occasion.
