Company Reps Screen Retired Service Personnel for Employment at Defence Ministry’s Request

Intending to offer more assistance for promotion of their livelihood, Ministry of Defence on Monday (7) held a mega ‘job fair’ for more than 1000 retired service personnel at the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute (SLFI) with the objective of finding new employment opportunities for them.

Representatives of hospital industry, construction field, security companies and several other agencies interviewed those attendees during the arrangement that got underway in the premises.

Engineer Karunasena Hettiarachchi, Secretary Defence, Mr A.P.G Kithsiri, State Secretary of Defence, Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva, Commander of the Army, several senior tri-service officers visited the location and inquired into the progress of the project.
