The commissioning dinner (Mess Night), one of the most admired traditions in the SLMA Passing out Parade (PoP) at Diyatalawa got underway last evening (21) at the SLMA Officers’ Mess, graced by the evening's Chief Guest, Major General (Retd) Kamal Gunaratne, Secretary Defence and the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva.
The spectacular event with all new graduates, attired with all regalia has been a much-treasured tradition, rich with toasts, etiquette, table manners, courtesies, etc. that should be pursued by full-pledged military officers during their career.
