At the request of the Blood Bank at Colombo Army Hospital, over 200 troops of the 4 Commando Regiment HQ at Ganemulla donated their blood during a simple arrangement that got underway at the Regimental HQ on Friday (26).
In accordance with guidelines given by Brigadier Vijitha Hettiarachchi, Commander, Commando Brigade, senior officers and other ranks voluntarily came forward to give their blood to the Blood Bank at Colombo Army Hospital.
The Brigade Commander during the programme visited the location and encouraged the donors. Blood Bank medical team thanked the Commandos for their generosity.
