Commandos at CRTS Control Major Bushfire

Commandos of the Army at Commando Regiment Training School (CRTS) in Kudaoya promptly responded and doused a major forest fire that broke out in the Kotigambokka, Thiththamulakanda forest reserves in the general areas of Wellawaya on 21 August 2023 at about 5.50 pm.

One officer and 25 Other Ranks of the Commando Regiment Training School (CRTS) effectively fought against the bushfire that had covered a length of more than one kilometer and contained its spread further, although an extensive damage had been caused to the vegetation.

The Commandant at the CRTS guided and gave necessary directions to the troops engaged in the task.
