Major General S.W.M. Fernando WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc, the Commander of Security Forces – West (SF-West), visited the 611 Infantry Brigade on 13 March 2024 with the intention of inquiring about the wellbeing of the troops.
Brigadier H.D.L.S. Perera RWP RSP, the Commander of the 611 Infantry Brigade, warmly welcomed the visiting Senior Officer upon his arrival. Subsequently, he was accorded a Guard Turnout at the entrance. Afterwards, the Commander of the 611 Infantry Brigade conducted a briefing on the role, tasks, and the present situation in the respective area.
Later, the Commander of SF-West planted a sapling on the premises and addressed the troops. Adding memories to the occasion, he posed for a group photograph with the gathering.
Major General R.A.J.N. Ranasinghe RSP USP ndc, the General Officer Commanding of 61 Infantry Division, along with Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks, were present during the day’s event.
