Major General Champaka Ranasinghe, Commander, Security Forces - Wanni (SF-Wanni), visited the 54 Infantry Division HQ in Mannar on 11 January 2023 where he was greeted at first in a Guard Turnout before Major General Nalinda Niyangoda, General Officer Commanding, 54 Division warmly welcomed him on behalf of all troops of the 54 Infantry Division.
Afterwards, Major General Champaka Ranasinghe paid tribute to the memory of fallen War Heroes at the monument in the 54 Infantry Division Headquarters and addressed the troops where he urged them to work with commitment whilst maintaining high standards of discipline. Finally, he emphasized the value of training for officers and soldiers in order to uplift the standards of the Army.
Thereafter, the Commander Security Forces - Wanni planted a Mango sapling in the camp premises to mark his visit before he joined All Ranks for refreshments.
