Commander, SF-East Visits 22 Infantry Division

Major General S.A Kulatunge RWP RSP VSV USP psc, the newly appointed Security Forces Commander - East (SF-East), made a visit to the 22 Infantry Division, under command Brigades and Battalions on 30 April - 01 May 2024.

The Commander, SF-East was warmly welcomed by Major General P.A.M Peiris RSP USP psc, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 22 Infantry Division and then honoured in a Guard Turnout.

Adding memories to the day, the Commander, SF-East was invited to pose for a few group photographs with the Division staff and was also invited to plant a sapling in the compound. Thereafter, a comprehensive briefing was conducted by the GOC and other Senior Officers of the 22 Infantry Division on the role and tasks of the Division.

Following this, the Commander, SF-East addressed the troops, followed by an All-Ranks tea session. Towards the end, the Commander, SF-East penned down some complimentary remarks in the visitors’ book.

On the following day, the Commander, SF-East conducted official visits to 221, 222, 223 Infantry Brigades,5 (V) Sri Lanka Artillery and 2 (V) Gajaba Regiment. The Commander, SF-East was warmly welcomed by the respective Senior Officers at each location upon his arrival.

Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks were also present during the visit.
