Commander Security Forces-East Visits 22 and 24 Divisions & Calls on Religious Dignitaries

The recently-appointed Commander, Security Forces - East, Major General Senarath Bandara made formal maiden visits to the 22 Division, 24 Division and their under command formations, several training Centers and met representative troops on 08, 09 and 11 June.

Addressing the troops, the Commander SF-E appreciated all officers and the other ranks for shouldering the task of executing national responsibility of tackling the COVID -19 pandemic and stressed on the need to ensure continued good health and hygiene among the troops having taken all necessary precautions. He also emphasized the importance of training in different professional aspects of the career and maintenance of the highest standards of discipline at all times.

Commander, Security Forces-East also paying his obeisance to the religious sentiments during his stay in the area called on several leading Buddhist monks in Ampara and Trincomalee districts and the Bishop of Trincomale Diocese Rev. Fr. Noel Emanuel. The visiting Commander called on the Adhikarana Sanghanayaka North and Eastern Provinces and the Chief Incumbent of Vidyananda Pirivena Ampara, Ven Kirindiwela Somarathana Nayake Thero, Ven.
