The Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu on Tuesday (26) paid his last respect to late Brigadier E.A.D.K Edirisinghe of the Corps of Engineer Services (CES) after visiting his residence at No. 974/80/C, Iddamalwaththa Road, Annasiwaththa, Athurugiriya.
Brigadier E.A.D.K Edirisinghe (52) passed away at the Army Hospital, Colombo after a brief illness on Sunday (24) evening.
Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage condoled with the late Senior Officer’s spouse and family members and expressed his deep sorrow on the untimely death of the Senior Officer. The Army Chief also recalled the late Senior Officer's commitment and dedication towards the organization and how he performed his duties to the best of his ability.
Brigadier E.A.D.K Edirisinghe’s funeral with full military honours takes place on Wednesday (27) at the General Cemetery, Borella.
