Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, Commander of the Army on Thursday (16) noon paid his last respect to late Brigadier A.G.S.M Perera RWP RSP USP of the Gemunu Watch (GW) who passed away at the Kudaoya Commando Training School.
Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage expressed his deep sorrow and condoled with late Senior Officer’s spouse, two children and family members. He also did not forget to remind the family of his bravery, courage and dedication as well as his commitment towards the defence of the country while he was in the battlefield before May 2009.
His funeral with full military honours will take place on Friday (17 November) at General Cemetery, Borella.
Brigadier A.G.S.M Perera RWP RSP USP of the Gemunu Watch (GW) passed away on Tuesday (14) evening and was 53 years of age at the time of his untimely demise.
