Commander of the Army Visits Injured Officer and Soldier at Army Hospital

In a demonstration of unwavering concern for his troops, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, the Commander of the Army, together with Major General W.H.K.S Peiris RWP RSP VSV USP ndu, Chief of Staff, visited the Army Hospital, Colombo on Tuesday, (30 January) to personally inquire about the Officer and Soldier who sustained injuries during a freefall jump as part of the 76th Independence Day parade rehearsals at Galle Face, Colombo.

The Commander of the Army took the time to engage with both the Officer and the Soldier, expressing his concern and inquiring about the progress of their treatment. The Army Chief also met with the medical authorities at the hospital, emphasizing the importance of providing the injured Army personnel with the highest quality of care and ensuring their speedy recovery.

Before departing, the Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage acknowledged the dedication and commitment of the medical staff, encouraging them to continue providing the best possible treatments to the injured personnel.
