The Commander of the Army Speaks to Gajaba Regiment Troops at Saliyapura

Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, the Commander of the Army, on 30 March 2024 addressed the Gajaba Regiment (GR) troops at the GR Regimental Centre in Saliyapura.

The Commander of the Army was warmly welcomed to the GR premises by Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B. Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, the Commander Security Forces – Jaffna following the military formalities.

Afterwards, addressing the troops, the Army Chief emphasized the importance of maintaining discipline in challenging times while refraining from unlawful activities as proud members of the Army. Further, he highlighted the significance of maintaining high standards of professionalism and explained the status of ongoing welfare programmes.

Major General S.B. Amunugama RWP RSP ndu, Commander, 1 Corps, Major General I.A.N.B. Perera RWP USP ndu psc, Military Secretary, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks were also present at the occasion.
