Commander Appreciates Retiring Chief Field Engineer’s Service

Appreciative of the unblemished service of the retiring Chief Field Engineer, Major General Tissa Nanayakkara of the Sri Lanka Engineers, Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, Commander of the Army after inviting the potential retiree to his office commended his contribution to the growth of the Army and extended his best wishes for his future.

During the brief but cordial meet at the Army HQ, the Commander recalled a few of his dedicated roles in the past and shared thoughts with him. Towards the end of the interaction, Lieutenant General Silva presented a memento to him and wished him good luck for his future endeavours.
