Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, together with Mrs Sujeewa Nelson, President Army Seva Vanitha Unit were among distinguished guests invited to the Qatar National Day function, held at Hotel Taj Samudra on Wednesday (18).
Mr Khalid Saleh Al-marri, Charge-de affairs at the Qatar Embassy extending a warm welcome to the Commander of the Army and his spouse exchanged greetings and recalled prevailing sound relations between both countries. Lieutenant General Silva also took time off to greet other diplomats and invitees.
