Major General S.B Amunugama RWP RSP ndu, the fourth Commander of 1 Corps undertook his maiden visit to the Air Mobile Brigade Headquarters at Vellankulam and also to the 3 Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) camp at Periyamadu on 31 July 2023.
The visiting 1 Corps Commander was warmly welcomed at both locations before respective Brigade Commander and the Commanding Officer briefed him about the present role and tasks of those troops.
During his visits, 1 Corps Commander addressed the troops and planted a sapling inside the camp premises and had a cordial interaction with the troops.
Brigade Commander of the Air Mobile Brigade and Commanding Officer of 3 SLLI presented symbolic appreciative mementos to Major General S.B Amunugama RWP RSP ndu. Before his departure, he left some complimentary notes in the visitors' book.
