Colonel Commandant, SLSC Visits Central Area to Receive Updates

The Chief Signal Officer (CSO) and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Major General K.A.W.S Ratnayake ndu made his maiden visit to the 7 Sri Lanka Signal Corps (7 SLSC) camp at Diyathalawa on Friday (28 April) upon assumption of his office.

Major D.S.L Kumarasiri psc, the Commanding Officer warmly welcomed Major General K.A.W.S Ratnayake ndu on arrival and a subsequent ceremonial Guard Turnout was awarded to him at the entrance in accordance with military formalities.

In addition, he planted a ‘Naa’ sapling to mark his visit to the 7 SLSC. Afterwards, the Commanding Officer conducted a comprehensive briefing on the status of Information Communicated Technology in the Security Force HQ-Central area and administration matters pertaining to the unit.

Later, Major General K.A.W.S Ratnayake ndu delivered his speech and spoke of the value of professionalism whilst preserving highest standards of discipline during their career.

At the end of his address, the Commanding Officer presented a memento to the visiting CSO and invited the day's Chief Guest, Colonel Commandant, SLSC to distribute several water geezers and essentials for Other Ranks who are serving at the Army Radio Relay locations and Communication towers in the Security Force HQ-Central area.

Before concluding the visit, the Colonel Commandant shared his valuable thoughts with officers and left commemorative notes in the Visitors’ Book.
