Colonel Commandant of CES Conducts Familiarization Visits

Major General A.H.L.G Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, the Director General Financial Management and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Engineer Services (CES), visited the Engineer Services Trade School (ESTS), 2 Engineer Services Regiment, and 9 Engineer Services Regiment on Thursday (02 May).

The visiting Colonel Commandant was warmly welcomed by the Commandant of ESTS and the Commanding Officers of respective units on his arrival at camp premises and troops presented a Guard Turnout at each location.

At the ESTS, the Commandant briefed the Colonel Commandant about the course curriculum and objectives of the Trade School and Commanding Officers briefed him on role and tasks of their respective units. Further, he posed for a group photograph and planted a mango sapling in the premises.

The Colonel Commandant then addressed the troops, commending their dedication and professionalism. He also interacted with the troops during an All Ranks tea. Major General A.H.L.G Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, then visited the camp premises.

By concluding the visits at each location, the Colonel Commandant penned down some complementary remarks in the visitors’ book. Brigadier K.L Munasinghe USP, Center Commandant of CES, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks also took part in the visits.
